The decrease in the production flow rate in the HDP#4 well caused acidizing to be carried out in the well. Acidizing carried out in the well serves to reduce or overcome the scale that occurs so that later the value of the production flow rate can increase again. The type of acidizing used in this well is matrix acidizing which can dissolve particles that clog the pores around the wellbore and ultimately increase the rate of oil production from a well.
